From West Fargo Tengesdals
| Hi! I am just writing to say Hi and that I love reading the postings. Congratulations Bill and Laural!! We were wondering who wounld eventually break the Crosby 3 boy, 3 girl tie! Summer is going fast! Carl and I spend about 10 days in Colorado for a wedding, traveling and site seeing in the mountains and visitin Joy and Isaac. We had a great time! So relaxing! Right now I am being mostly lazy and Carl is getting ready for a presentation that he will give to the American Welding society in Florida next week. July 19-21. He leaves on Thurs and comes home Saturday. Mary K is coming over today and we are going out and about for awhile. She has been here in Fargo helping her mom and spending time with Amy and other family. Jerod is working for a Construction Company caled DL Jones. They are doing a turn around at the beet factory in Moorhead. Where he goes when that is over, who knows? At least he has his Assoc. Degree in Welding now so he has some skill sets. His diploma came in the mail a couple weeks ago, so it is official now. We love having Simon and Mazie over and also going out and doing activities with them. They do love swimming at Buffalo River. Grandma does too!! It is a man made lake where they use water from the Buffalo River and filter it so it is so nice and clean plus warm! I better get busy here as Mary will be here in a few minutes to pick me up. I will add pictures one of these times! Betty I don't think Joy and Isaac write on this blog, but they have one of their own that is very interesting, so look that up and you can reply to their postings there too. Betty |

"Well I already have a sister, so maybe a brother...but I really like pink...soo." -Lily
Hello from Canada!
There is going to be a new Crosby in Canada expected in Feb 2008...if Connie hasn't called you already. We sent the girls to Williston this week, and the title of my blog was what Lily told Rebekah when asked if she wanted a brother or sister. So that's our big news, other than that not much is too exciting up here, other than the bird-like mosquitoes.
Bill is having a great time working on the grounds crew this summer and working in our yard. He's also taken a few summer courses and he has to finish up some homework for those. I am still working at a small hospital in Morris, MB. It's been great for me as a nurse...I've seen some pretty wild things. Lily, Nora are always busy playing outside.
Lily also just had her first dance recital...it was priceless, as Bill said, "it was the cutest pure chaos you've ever seen."

Nora is quite the little personality...she thinks she's hilarious...and we think she's right!
Here's a face full of spaghetti.
One of our favorite actives is taking walks.
Lily and Nora love each other about 80% of the time, the rest of the time...well it can get pretty ugly.
Anyway, hope all is well with all of you,
Blessings,
Canada Crosby's

Greetings from MT
Greetings from MT, I have finished another year of teaching. It is so hard to believe. The Park City public voted down building a new school, so a double wide trailer will be added to the school playground this fall. The first grade will move into it. Abby is so disappointed that she hasn't made it into the building yet. I think I mentioned that Tim and Jodi are engaged. We are going fishing with them this weekend. Christine and kids are doing well. We have been going to Abby's baseball games and loving it. Jodi graduated from MSU-Bozeman with a degree in cell-biology. Tim is starting a new business again. Tom continues to work at the same place as an assistant manager. He thinks he runs the place. I don't have any real plans for the summer. Renee

A little coffee party for the boys...
Reading with Rebekah!
An exciting game of basketball
"Please, Grandpa Doug!! Just one more time of "ring around the rosey"!!!! We aren't dizzy yet, ARE YOU????"

This is so Great!
Thanks for the news from the Kasowski families and Jon and Bets! It is so nice to feel connected! We'll get the Crosbys on here yet! It will probably take awhile for everyone to get used to checking the site and writing on it. We went to Jon's softball game tonight for awhile. Jerod went with Betsy and the kids so he could play with Simon. Simon loves Jerod and the feeling is mutual! Jerod will be going to a week of Pipe Welding School in Ohio the 7th of June through the 15th...THen hopefully a job!! My last day of classes with students was today and tomorrow we have teacher record keeping and clean up day. I am taking a class on Native American Culture the last week of May. It will put me on the next lane of the pay scale, so decided I should take it. Carl has been home for a couple of weeks. He has done 2 Bible distributions with the Gideons this week. They gave out about 500 Testaments to students at 2 middle schools in Fargo. We have the promise that God's Word will accomplish that for which it was sent. PTL! All for now. Betty
I need to learn how to add pictures to this.

Our Special Day

Here we are on our special day. Mazie is wearing the gown that Jane & I both wore when we were dedicated. We weren't sure that it would fit- but it fit our little peanut like it was specially made for her! :) It was absolutely wonderful to be able to see Isaac & Joy and of course the rest of the family friends too! Saturday was such a fun day for us to celebrate Jerod's graduation (yahoo, Jerod!!). Seeing many of the Kasowski clan was great too! We missed Matt, Jill, Isaiah & Chris~ but certainly kept you close in our hearts!

The shark is a present from Uncle "I-Dit" (Isaac) and a favorite of ours!! Take note of the strategically placed shark-- thank goodness it's so big--- it hides everything that needs to be hidden! hee hee! :)

Private?
Just wondering if we should make the blog "private" and change the settings so it's not publically on the internet? We could still access it online, but it would only be available to those of us that know about it. I'm thinking security-wise for you, Jill?
Greetings from Greg and Heather!
Hello Everyone!
Greg and I are joining the blog!
We hope you all are doing well and enjoying the fact that summer is almost here. We spent the weekend celebrating graduations in Fargo. It was great to see some of you on Saturday. Greg and I haven't seen Joy and Issac in a long time so even though it was brief, it was nice to say hello!
And I can't believe how cute Simon and Mazie are - they're so adorable and you can definitely tell they are siblings! It was sure fun to see them.
To give a bit of an update on us...we're still living and working in Grand Forks. Greg is teaching English as a Second Language for aound 4 - 6 hours/day. He loves it and is very good at it. Most of his students are from Saudi Arabia/Iran so he enjoys learning about their culture. He then works for a local print shop doing graphic design for another 4 - 5 hours. And he's taking classes online plus being involved in various ministries at our church. He's busy!
I'm still working for UND, planning events and working with students and families. It's challenging and I enjoy it most of the time...though I am often way too busy.
We are tentatively planning a move to South Carolina this summer to attend Columbia International University in the fall. We have been wanting to take this step for sometime but have been saving money and waiting for the right time. We'll be driving up to visit Columbia/CIU in June for a few days while we are in Florida for Mary's brother (Uncle Tony's) Ordination. Dale and Mary will be coming with us as well so we're excited to have time with them. While there we hope to meet with our advisors and look for a house to buy...and as long as everything goes well, we'll make the move in August. Our employers don't know yet so that's been a bit tough...but overall it's exciting!
Since we have no kids, photos are sort of boring. But here's a photo from Valentine's Day of Greg and I.

We look forward to hearing from you all and seeing how life is going for you!
Blessings! Greg and Heather

Hello again dear friends~
Just wanted to send a quick note from China to tell you we miss you guys and are thinking of you lots this spring- for Mazie's fantastic dedication celebration, WRCrosby #2, and spring/summer projects you are all doubtlessly busy with. We wish we coudl be there to be a part of those things with you- to celebrate with you. Yes, we're looking forward to a visit back to the states before too long, but you guys are also gladly welcome to stop over on this side of "town" too! We'd love to have you visit!
Here are a few recent pics. Matt has gotten involved in Kendo- Japanese sword fighting- (for exercise mainly) since we've been here. He loves it and is grateful Isaiah has shown interest in his sword and manly asian armor too...
We'll try to write more soon about our apartment search (hopefully we will have found a great new place for us and a nearby home for our friends who are moving here too by the time we write next!) and about our trip to visit the friends we look forward to working with after our language study season in the capital city.
Much love to you-
Matt and Jill

Other Kasowskis!
Jill, could you send us the E Mail addresses for Greg and Heather, Amy and Chris too? Do you know if Mary ever does E Mail? We have Dale's address but have had no response from them. Thanks!
News from West Fargo
Hi! Guess I will try this out Too! I think it is a great idea and I hope everyone will write on it at least once a month or more often! Much better than getting a letter once a year! Anyway, we are doing fine and keeping very busy. As you know, I am teaching full time now and it takes a lot out of me! I'm not as young as I was and I can sure tell it at the end of a school day! Mazie spend the night last night. We had company for supper (Carl invited people over to celebrate spring (actually I think to show off his deer mounts, HA!) ) They all brought stuff, so we had lots of food and Carl did all the preparatory work getting the house ready etc. Anyway with all the people and excitement, Mazie did not go to bed until 11:00! Then she slept all night until 10:45 this morning! She loves to stay up late and sleep late, just like Grandma!! We make a good pair! Simon got out of the hospital this morning. They came over and spent the day. Simon and Betsy slept most of the afternoon. Poor little Simon is just not feeling good! It's so hard to see, because he is such a little charmer all the time and loves everyone. Now it is only mama that can help him. He will have oxygen on when he sleeps or as needed, and then in a month will be evaluated by an ENT doctor. Keep him in your prayers! Thanks!
Jerod came home this weekend and has been welding in the garage with Carl. I think he is practicing to pass some welding test. He will graduate from Wapheton on May 11th with his Associate in Welding Technology. Then who knows?? Definitely will need a job! He can work for Wanzak Const. again, but is exploring more options. Will write more later. Betty
Loved the pictures from Matt, Jill and Isaiah!! Thanks
Thanks Renee for your news too!

Hi Everyone from MT, We had an awesome weekend. My sister, her daughter Jeanine, and granddaughter, Zoe were here for a visit. It was so much fun watching Zoe (1year) walk around. We had a surprise engagement party for Tim and Jodi. They are planning their wedding for Sept. 2008. Jodi is planning a surprise birthday party for Tim, April 28th. She's wanting all of Tim's family and friends to come. It would be awesome if anyone of the four families could come. Tim is starting another business. He loves to be the boss! Just had to try this out! God bless! Renee

Tonsil Time
Hi, Well, Simon goes in tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. to have his tonsils & adenoids taken out. Hopefully this will mean quieter breathing, less snoring, and less apnea! (How's that for the list of what we want out of the surgery?) We've talked to him about the hospital, his sore throat, the surgery & tried to explain what will happen (as best you can for a 2 year old). He's not a bit concerned- he's excited to go sleep at "Mazie's hospital" and he is pretty sure that his throat will only hurt for "a minute" (his favorite amount of time... everything in his life is "a minute").We'll post to keep you updated on how he does. I have heard from a co-worker whose son just had the same surgery that it's a tough recovery~ we'll just keep praying that Simon soars through it!!
Love,
Bets & the bunch

from the China Kasowskis

Hello dear Four Families!
How great to be able to keep in touch with you all this way! Thank you so much Betsy!!
We are doing well. All good to report.... Isaiah recently celebrated his 1st bday, K2 is almost half baked in my belly, and language study is coming along well for Matt and I. Recently we were talking about how encouraging it is to consider the progress we've made in language since we arrived. Usually we focus on how much we still yearn to be able to communicate but can't, but actually, we have come along way from when we landed- by God's grace! We are grateful!
As for our sweet boy- since it's becoming more spring-ish weather here now, I try to take him to our apartment complex courtyard park area most every day. He is one of the youngest runners down there and he gets lots of comments for how joyful he is as he toddles along, most glad to see a little dog to chase after or some other kiddos to smile at for a second... while he keeps on walking. This boy LOVES being on his feet and prefers to keep them moving just about every minute he's awake! Also, he can respond to Zaijian (good bye) with a little wave and Duan, Qi Lai (bend, stand up) when it's called out to him now. His favorite things are balls (Ba), dogs, and books.
For Matt's 30th Birthday a few weeks ago, several of his close friends here "kidnapped" him and took him outside the city for a guys day hike... I think it hit the spot for my husband who has been itching to get outside the city and be with the guys. It was fun that he really was surprised by it all too!
We really look forward to reading more of your postings as well! Once again, thanks for getting this going Tengesdals! Blessings to you all- in Christ.
